Crews will continue removing contaminated soil from the median of Interstate-80 near Donner Summit through Thursday. Traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews removed the boom in Summit Creek on Thursday, which reopens public access and watercraft navigation of Summit Creek. As a precaution, boom will be maintained upstream in Billy Mack Creek while monitoring and cleanup work continue.
