Permits will be soon issued for special Gamebird Heritage Program Apprentice pheasant hunts scheduled at Grizzly Island Wildlife Area in Solano County, southwest of Fairfield. To be eligible, youths must have successfully completed a hunter education course and possess a valid 2010-11 California Junior Hunting License at the time of application.
