Preparing for next hunting season 2 years, 10 months ago #8

Deer hunting season is out down here in Florida. I had a lot of fun this season, but not much time or luck. I plan to get busy in the next couple of weeks building some shootin' houses for next season. My brother and I built a sturdy elevated blind before this last season and it really woked out well. We plan to build a few more of the same style to try out next hunting season. The spots are already picked out so we are ready for construction. We plan to do it soon before it gets too hot down here.

Me and my hunting buddy were talking about building some flat-top stands and then using our pop-ups on them. We were thinking we could move them around from stand to stand and have better options than using them as a ground blind.

I have 5 permanent stands on my hunting property. I found that other hunters are using them when I'm not around. I beleive it is hurting my chances of getting a big buck.
