Local conservation group raising funds for poor
EMPORIA — On Aug. 27, Emporia's Hunt 4 Hunger will host a concert with local musician Pete Gile at Hoeltings Grove in Olpe. The gates will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15, or $10 with five canned goods. Attendees 16 and younger with a parent will be admitted free. Tickets can be purchased at D & S Service Station and JC construction in Lebo; Navrat’s and KVOE in Emporia; and the Chicken House in Olpe. Tickets go on sale July 31.ll proceeds will go to help those in need.

Attendees should bring lawn chairs. JC Construction will operate a concession stand.

Proceeds from this event go to charitable organizations that feed the poor, the Beau Arndt Foundation (www.beauarndtfoundation.org), and conservation groups. Hunt 4 Hunger strives to educate the public on the importance of hunting safety and conservation while providing enjoyable activities to local communities.
