Events cover regulations, hunting techniques and proposed zone changes for 2011

The first will be held Oct. 4 at the Great Plains Nature Center, 29th and Woodlawn in Wichita, beginning at 7 p.m. Wildlife area managers Brent Theede and Kurt Grimm will discuss conditions and hunting prospects at McPherson and Slate Creek wetlands, respectively. KDWP area managers, biologists, and natural resource officers from Clinton, Perry, Hillsdale, Marais des Cygnes, and Benedictine Bottoms wildlife areas will discuss waterfowl opportunities on their respective lands. McNew will also be present at this event to discuss this year’s waterfowl outlook from a statewide and flyway perspective, as well as cover information presented at the Wichita meeting.
