My boys are 10 and11 years old this hunting season, but they’ve participated in big game hunts since they graduated from diapers. I am an advocate of taking youngsters on the hunt even before they can hunt themselves so they have time to absorb the experience and learn a lot of the basics. This takes some of the pressure off of them later when they sign up for hunter education.
