A state educator was honored recently for developing a program that promotes taking a child fishing. Dave Hagengruber, aquatic education coordinator for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, was named educator of the year by the Montana chapter of the American Fisheries Society. The award was given at the chapter's February meeting in Bozeman.
