As the natural world gradually awakens after a long winter season, the birth of deer fawns and black bear cubs is part of the natural process of renewal.
“What isn’t natural is how often these newly born critters lose the chance of a life in the wild when well-intentioned humans take them home,” said Kurt Cunningham, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks outdoor education specialist.
