It is the time of the year when carcasses and hunting scraps start showing up in odd places: trailheads, access points, under bridges, behind Kelly humps, in front of gates and on roadsides. Animals that are harvested need to be properly disposed of after the hunter has taken all the meat off the carcass (see current big game regulations booklet for guidelines).
