Montana hunters will get three extra days in the field this year. For hunters ages 12 to 15, the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission added a two-day youth deer hunt that will run Thursday and Friday, Oct. 21 and 22. For all hunters, the general deer and elk seasons will open on Saturday, Oct. 23. During past years, the season has opened on a Sunday.
