(Helena, MT) – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) announced today that construction of the temporary, gravel road at the switchbacks of Makoshika State Park has been completed. Heavy rainfall this past spring created soil sloughing causing the existing road at the switchbacks to be damaged and closed. The temporary road will provide a new and safe connection for general public vehicle access and maintenance of the communication towers in the upper areas of the park.
