A 228-pound, 2-3 year-old male grizzly bear was captured at Ferndale by FWP biologists on May 6. The grizzly is the sibling of a 209-pound female grizzly caught on May 5. According to Grizzly Bear Management Specialist Tim Manley, both bears were captured because they were eating grass in yards, approaching houses, and were not wary of people. The grizzlies were caught on private property north of Landmark Lane.
