Already a few thousand snow geese have been spotted in north central Montana. That means before long tens of thousands of the white birds may be stopping briefly at Freezout Wildlife Management Area before heading north to their arctic nesting grounds. Freezout is located between the towns of Fairfield and Choteau, along U.S. 89. Typically snow geese migration peaks the end of March.
