Having the proper clothing and equipment will insure you have not only a safe experience, but also any enjoyable and memorable one. This relates to not only our magnificent rivers, but also being alert to wildlife when hiking or cross country skiing on our remote, or not-so-remote, trails. When outdoors in Montana, anticipate that the weather will change! Plan ahead and prepare. Carry extra clothing, food and supplies. Remember to pack-out what you pack-in, and please recycle.
