The Montana Transportation Commission has approved the designation of Giant Springs Road, as one of the first two Montana State Scenic Byways. Giant Springs Road’s designation, entirely within Giant Springs State Park, extends from River Drive to the train trestle by Rainbow Dam. No other short drive in Montana, at less than three miles long, has so many different natural and historic attractions as Giant Springs Road.
