Looking for a weekend activity for you and the kids in the Bloomfield, Missouri area? How about an Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program at the local police station. Find out more from The Daily Statesman:

The Bloomfield Police Department and the Explorer's Club will be hosting a gun safety program this Saturday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.

The Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program is a National Rifle Association (NRA) sponsored program, aimed at promoting safety for families who have guns in the home.

Among the activities will be cartoon shows, a coloring book give-away and free rides in the police car will be available.

All participants will receive a certificate following the program's completion.
