Eddie Eagle
A special thanks to Jon Draper of the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program for the following update:
The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department in Yreka, California, has loaned an Eddie Eagle mascot costume for their community events during the months of August and September. Their plan was to debut the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program with Eddie Eagle at their two local summer fairs: Siskiyou Golden Fair, August 12th-16th and the Tulelake Butte Valley Fair, September 10th-13th. They reached 30 – 50 children each day!
At the law enforcement booth, they invited kids to participate in an Eddie Eagle GunSafe lesson three times a day, relating to the kids the safety motto and to respect every firearm as if it is real. They also advised parents on the local laws and the importance of keeping guns out of the reach of children. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department is a shining example of law enforcement taking a proactive role in the safety and wellbeing of their community.
We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the department for their continuing efforts in helping keep kids safe.

Stay tuned for the latest on Eddie Eagle.
