Since the NRA National Firearms Museum has a lovely new gift shop right here at NRA Headquarters, NRAblog has decided to send our newest staff member, Nick Ivey, to the shop once a week to see what he finds.

The Book of Colt Firearms is one of the leading and most valuable references available on Colt firearms. The book consists of 632 pages divided by both category topic and chronological order for easy reference. Featuring fully colored illustrations, this resource provides several hundred visual references.

“I have seen first editions of this book go for $400 to $500 through online booksellers. This is the best book on the subject, hands down,” Store Manager Benjamin Van Scoyoc told NRAblog.

Normally, at the Museum Store, the book is priced at $149.95. However, the book is currently on sale at 25% off, for a price of $112.45. This is a perfect gift for the Colt firearms aficionado -- and Christmas will be here before you know it!

Remember, these items are unique to the Museum store. To purchase, visit the Museum or call Store Manager Benjamin Van Scoyoc and ask very nicely. (He can be reached at 703-267-1608.)
