A 20-year-old, Great Falls man was accidentally shot in the hand by his hunting companion last week. Both men are from Great Falls and were hunting Nov. 23 on private property south of town. The accident occurred after the shooter, 21, spotted several deer, looked through the scope on his rifle and switched the safety off. The shooter decided not fire and slung the rifle back onto his shoulder without putting the safety back on.
