The Great Falls Shooting Sports Complex has withdrawn it recent proposal to expand the 300-yard rifle range and build a 600-yard range, according to Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The move came after a public comment period over the project. FWP manages the state's shooting range grant program, which had set aside $28,000 for the proposed work. The GFSSC board of directors will have an opportunity to modify the proposal and resubmit it to FWP.
