With the close of the general big game hunting season, hunters can still turn to hunting many upland game bird species in Montana. Pheasant, partridge, sharp-tailed grouse and turkey hunting continues until Jan. 1. The season for mountain grouse closes Dec. 15. Montana's sage grouse season closed Nov. 1. Check the regulations for exceptions for the Partridge season.
