Friends of NRA banquet raises over $40,000

When the Friends of the National Rifle Association (NRA) decide to hold a banquet, they do it in a big way, a really big way. To prove that point, over 400 people attended the most recent Friends of the NRA Banquet held here in Cut Bank on Sept. 19 at the Joe Meagher Memorial Civic Center.

"We fed 403 people that night," said Stephanie Baker, one of the organizers of the banquet. "It was a great evening."

Those 400 plus people enjoyed a prime rib dinner, participated in a silent and live auction and had a great time socializing. Kids are invited to the banquet as well and this year 81 children came with their parents.

"Every year we have more kids," said Baker. "We want to see those numbers grow, because it is the kids that will keep this organization up and running into the future."
