Thanks to Jon Draper of the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program for the following update:

The Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program just received a very nice plaque from the City of Whitehall, OH, Department of Public Safety congratulating Eddie the Eagle on a successful completion of the “Safety Town Whitehall” program.
During the week of May 15, children in Whitehall Ohio were exposed to numerous safety educational situations. Children in all age ranges participated in learning about fire, bicycle, traffic, and of course gun safety. Other topics included, “Stranger Danger,” “Telephone Safety/Knowledge,” as well as “Nature Safety,” and “Bus Safety” classes. The Whitehall Division of Police was able to acquire an Eddie Eagle mascot costume through our loaner costume program. Loaner costumes are available on a first come first serve basis to law enforcement professionals across the country.
To find out more about our loaner costume program, please contact the Eddie Eagle GunSafe Department at (800) 231-0752.

Don't go away -- there's more Eddie Eagle news, coming up soon.
