You may remember NRAblog's coverage of the Women on Target instructional shooting clinic in Fincastle, Virginia, last year. My mother, entirely new to firearms, was a guest at the clinic, and the people of the Ridge Rifle Association created a very welcoming environment for all shooters, novice and expert.

This year's clinic is October 10, and we hear there are spots available. The event is limited to the first 50 participants and will be held at the Ridge Rifle Association firing range, five miles north of Fincastle.

Cathy Cofflin is a contact person. Call her at (540) 366-6244 or Bill Moswkowitz at (540) 966-5902. Don't miss out! Reserve your spot today.
