JACKSON, Tenn. --- Kathleen Williams, President and Executive Director of the Tennessee Parks and Greenways Foundation, was honored by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission at their August meeting.
 
Williams was honored for her work restoring the real estate transfer fund providing funds to TWRA for maintenance and land conservation. She led a coalition of interested organizations and individuals in an effort to restore the Real Estate Transfer Tax (wetlands fund) to its intended use. Even in the tough economic climate facing the Tennessee Legislature, the effort was successful and the fund was fully funded.
