DAVIS, W.Va. – New rooms at Canaan Valley Resort State Park are in the planning stage, but fall and winter visitors and groups at the four-season resort will not find their experiences disrupted this year. Fall foliage and scenic tours, golf play, and good winter weather for skiing are anticipated. “However, as for breaking ground for remodeling of the 1970s era lodge, that won’t happen until well into next year," said Parks Chief Ken Caplinger. “Before any construction can start, there is paperwork and coordination for planning a project of this magnitude.”
