ANSTED, W.Va. – Sunday buffet, flower pot painting, room tours, door prizes and music are some of the activities at Hawks Nest State Park Open House scheduled for May 8. “It is Mother’s Day and to celebrate we’re having other activities at the lodge for the family and friends to enjoy,” said Megan Flinn, activities coordinator. The park’s new restaurant concessionaire, Steve Thomas, also will be introduced to visitors and guests.
