SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Hunters who successfully applied for a limited number of permits to hunt antlerless deer in specific parts of the state will be receiving those permits in the mail soon. These permits are awarded for areas where wildlife biologists have determined that limited hunting is necessary to meet deer population management objectives, according to Paul Johansen, Assistant Chief in Charge of the Division of Natural Resources’ (DNR) Game Management Section.
