PIPESTEM, W.Va. – In the mid-1960s, some teenage boys began playing music in the basement of one of their parent’s homes in Princeton. Little did they know that was the beginning of a musical journey that would span nearly 50 years. From those humble beginnings came one of the most respected and loved Beach and Motown groups on the east coast – The Redcoats. Now, the group is set to make its final concert appearance as Pipestem Resort State Park presents The Redcoats in concert in the park’s amphitheater on Saturday, June 19 at 8 p.m.
